Best way to respell notes when writing multiple notes at the same time?

While entering chords with my midi keyboard, as soon as things get mildly chromatic (like, dominants of relative keys) dorico has a knack for misspelling notes worse than a first year harmony student. It is very convenient to respell single notes, but respelling chords requires going back and surgically selecting single notes and respelling them. Is this the only way to do this?

How are you selecting your key signatures? C major & A minor affect accidentals differently than an atonal key signature.

You can select a passage of notes and run Respell notes automatically. Often very useful.

As @Derrek suggested, it is important to start with a key signature rather than atonal. Also, it can be helpful to use key signature changes as appropriate.
