Hello. I recently updated my bettermaker limiter 2.0 plugin to version 1.0.4, and it is causing Wavelab 12 to crash everytime I try to open the plugin. Is anyone else having this issue? I have attached some Log files so you can take a look at. I await your response.
I’m not sure it’s ‘lots’, but I agree that contacting the plug-in developer is a good idea to save time. In my experience the problems have only rarely been at the Wavelab end of things.
Same here.
It’s really sad how little support we WaveLab users get from them.
I wrote to Bettermaker three months ago and got no response.
Before the update, it didn’t crash WaveLab.
Ircam Lab TS and iZotope RX don’t like it either.
In Ableton Live 12, it’s working fine.
Would anyone happen to have the installer for the previous version and be willing to share it with me (via PM or upload)?
By the way, does anyone know if there’s a changelog and if i need to downgrade the firmware too?
The version before the current one was 1.0.0, right?
When you rolled back to it, did you also have to downgrade the hardware firmware, or did the previous plugin work fine with the latest firmware?
I’m wondering if the plugin and firmware versions are linked in some way.
Basically, I found that even though the input gain was set to 0.0. there was an invisible 2dB gain boost going on because as soon as you adjust the input gain with the big knob, it changes to +2.1dB instead of +0.1dB.
I was in a busy week before Xmas so I just said I’ll deal with it more later and rolled back to the last EQ version which is fine.
I didn’t have to change the EQ firmware (I didn’t think there was a new one) but I did have to manually delete the plugin file because reinstalling the old one didn’t make it revert. It still kept loading the latest one until l manually deleted the VST3 plugin file and then reinstalled the previous one.
