There’s a template in the hub called songwriter in the folder Production.
It defaults to C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase 14\Project Templates\Cubase AI, which is a writeprotected folder. If you dont notice this and change the folder you get this message after a while:
And then Cubase goes into an endless loop displaying this message.
Only way out is to kill Cubase in the taskmanager.
This doesn’t make sense. The auto save folder is within the project folder. But a template does not have a defined project folder. To the contrary - you as the user have to decide which folder to use as the project folder.
So, it seems you have somehow chosen the program folder as the project folder and are promptly prompted with this warning.
What I mean is that if you don’t notice and just accept the folder suggested by the template you get this error.
Anyway - Cubase shouldn’t go into and endless loop but prompt for another location.
I don’t get this location suggested that you mention. For me this template works exactly like all the other templates.
I still think this is caused by your action.
