I have updated Cubase from 10.5 to 11 version.
When I am trying to open Bias FX in Cubase it is hanging the system, and I shoud end the task with Task Manager. I can not work with Bias FX.
I have tried to reinstall Bias FX. It still does not work
Before upgrade, in Cubase 10.5 it works fine.
Try to generate DMP file, please. In the Task Manager right-click to Cubase and generate DMP file. If this doesn’t work, use Microsoft ProcDump utility, please.
Please use Microsoft ProcDump utility to generate a DMP file.
Please download ProcDump64 from Microsoft (~650kB) and extract the archive to a local folder on your harddisk.
Run Command Prompt (cmd) as administrator (right click and select “run as administrator”)
Navigate (in the Command Prompt) to the folder with the extracted procdump file.
For example:
cd C:\ Users \ \ Downloads \ Procdump
Note: the dmp file will be written into that folder.
Launch Cubase/Nuendo. You can work as usual. At any time, change to the command prompt and start procdump, to monitor Cubase/Nuendo for unexpected behavior (see next step).
The -h option will write a dmp file in case of an application hang. This might kick in too early sometimes, in case some action takes a little longer. Feel free to skip the “-h” option, if you are only up for fetching crashes.
The option -e will catch exeptions and the option -t terminations of the application.
Prodump is now monitoring the Cubase/Nuendo process and will write a crash log, in case Cubase/Nuendo crashes or hangs. Perform the action that causes Cubase/Nuendo to crash and send us the generated crash dmp.
Share the DMP file via Dropbox or similar service, please.
Send the Dump file to Bias as it is their responsibility to sort these issues out. To be honest I did not even instal Bias in 11 as I could not get a sound I liked out of it. But then I am a Kemper user.
Hello, I starting bias fx as standalone app and that works fine,
But when I use in Cubase 11 it is not works.
Besides bias amp works fine in cubase 11.
I’ve been using BIAS FX on Win10/Cubase 11 Pro with no problems.
I’m not sure what’s causing your problem, but in the past BIAS FX would sometimes take a while to load presumably because it was trying to contact Positive Grid servers. So, try going online before starting Cubase to see if that helps. Also, the latest version fixed a lot of previous bugs, so try updating as well (if you haven’t already). Good luck…
I have found solution. Turn off my anitvirus and firewall, start BIAS FX - everything works fine. Then one by one turn on firewall and antivirus. It works.
