This piece was created in the last version of D 5 and opening it in D 6 the rhythmic dots are way too big (while they were ok in v.5). There was a post back in 2021 but concluded there wasn’t a solution at that time. Any recourse?
Dots aren’t normally like that, so there must be something in your score that’s causing it.
Check in the Music Symbol editor that the Augmentation Dots are the default?
Which font are you using?
I was initially using the default aug. dot as found in D 6 and adjusted the scale down so now it seems ok. Thanks for the reply.
I think we really need to see a document with the problem, to figure out what’s going on.
The default scale dot works for everyone else, as far as I know.
I just want to add that all I did was open the D 5 project in D6 and that’s the way it was, but adjusting the scale at least gives me something to work with, and again, thanks.
Yeah – but that’s not really getting to the cause – it’s just compensating after the fact. This could cause more complications in the future.

I tried to do this this morning with a new example project and the dots were normal. Going back to the original D 5 project they were oversized, so it seems to be specific only to that earlier version project.
Checking other older projects and they’re fine. Go figure.
You could either upload the document for us to have a look at; or use the Library Manager to compare the document’s options and characteristics with your defaults: and see if you can pinpoint the essential difference.
I have not been able to reproduce this for an example - it seems to be a one off. I will send the score to you privately if you can supply an email address.
