Blinking Tempo Indicator

Hi  tested this tempo blinking quickly with the Time Display:
on Mac, the blinking-pixels are right behind the (useless) “On Top” button

Also the Time Display still not reopened if saving project with opened timeDisplay, (it won’t open automatically at next project-loading)

In short “Time Display”

  • blink is behind a button
  • a button that does nothing
  • the clock is still not reopening at project load

Do you think, you can check these in the future ?

the blinking tempo indicator is working great for me in windows, great help, thanks!

In win 11 it blinks in stop mode but not in play mode.

In win 10 it also blinks only in stop mode. Is it designed this way?

yes, when running the time display is moving

(Edited to remove unrelated detail)

Would like to see the tempo indicator in the status bar rather than the clock window, flash red/green/green/green (or whatever in line with the time signature), be active all the time like most workstation keyboards, and sync transport start to it when I hit play.

It has been fixed and add to the next Pre-Release 3.0.63

What do you mean with this?

I’ve re-checked it with the last Release
“On Top” is active, then the window is in “Always On Top” Mode
“On Top” is disabled, then it’s a normal window

That has been fixed and added to the next Pre-Release 3.0.63

Yes, excellent! Because this blinking features was requested from @Daniel_Drummond

Yes, all valid points. We only added the request from @Daniel_Drummond and now we have more wishes

Yes, and that’s why are thinking we’ll modify the Metronome area with such kind of features

and a new Preference-Entry with the options

  • Off (Default)
  • On
  • Only in Stop

Do we all agree to it?

Have a nice time,
Michael.

That was exactly my thinking :+1:

Hi Michael, maybe misunderstanding the function of “On Top” btn? I swear, can’t see any difference in behaviour, could you give me a hint?

meanwhile thank you for fixing all others already :))))))

… oh, yes. I can reproduce it now (with 3.0.62). I think I’ve installed 3.0.60 before. Lost in versions

I will make sure it will work with the next Pre-Release (3.0.63)
Michael.
