I purchased Boards of Electronica today for $24.99 plus tax and it seems to have downloaded, but I get an error message when I try to install it talking about double clicking some installer file?
I’d check to make sure you’ve enabled the SMTG login items:
This ensures the com.steinberg.SilentInstallHelper daemon is running in /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools - which is what launches the installer for you after the download.
Or just run the DMG file yourself which was downloaded to your /Users/[Username]/Downloads/Steinberg (I think) folder. The latter is probably the easiest since it’s already there.
