I wondering why the waveform increased in size. there are no effects, nor EQ settings. I undid as there were too many peaks.
Hi,
Is there no Insert effects or Channel Strip effects also on the Stereo Out bus? Is the Stereo Out bus fader set to 0?
Audible peaks? Otherwise it might just be the waveform display. Try Shift + G/H.
Here’s more info
But if they undid the bounce and the size went back to the smaller size then it’s unlikely it’s the display size setting, possible but unlikely.
@robirdman1 So if you have an Audio File on an Audio Track with no signal processing occurring then why did you want to bounce it at all?
The first screenshot shows the event within an audio part. On the second screenshot we see the event directly. That’s why there is more vertical space for drawing the waveform.
I had thought about that, but if you enlarge, you can see that in the top one, I think only one peak hits the inner line, while in the second another does and others are closer to it also.
The audio file had been cut and glued so I wanted it bounced to be one file again.
Good catch. The OP should double+click on the Part to open it in the Part Editor where they can access the actual Audio Event & compare that to the source to see if anything changed. Also I’d put more trust in what it looks like in an actual wave editor rather than an image in the Project Window.
What do the audio statistics tell you about the 2 files?
I should make a note in my posts what project I was in as when something goes wrong and I’m stuck, I go to another project till the next problem. I’ve been in about 4 or 5 in the recently. I have so many problems it is hard to keep track. I had a database of such but so many since C15, I’ve lost track.
I didn’t actually have 2 files as when I saw that the bounce changed, I undid it. I’ll have to figure out where I was, and first duplicate. though I remember that another problem was duplicating and both tracks would be affected. …………………………….
So I found the project and apparently since I went back and rebounced to verify the larger size, and went to work on another project, when I closed for the night, and tired, I see that I didn’t unbounce it again, so the original is gone from the latest version. I’ll go back to a previous version to try comparing……………………………
Very strange. I did and posted on 4/4 yet going back days before with different saves, all the way to 3/5, I can’t find any version in box like that was, though I can see a separation where it’s split. does a replacement bounce permanently affect the pool, affecting earlier versions even.
So I duplicated the 3/5 on and its statistics are here. A test of this (which wasn’t in the box like the original ion 4/4, looked the same after duplicating and bouncing. but the one bounced on 4/4 ( with original replaced/gone) does differ, notably peak which did appear visually larger as in the original comparison. 3/5
4/4
