Bounce selection

hi there, im using for a specific project cubase 6.5. ( i know, its old)/ trying to get clean files to send to mix. i did a “bounce selection” to all the audio bits to get clean wavs. and then added a layer on top of them from zero to end of project. and bounced them again, so i can get clean waves from zero to send to mix.
the thing is - i exported 10 seconds of the song before the bounce and the same 10 seconds after, and the sound is audibly different! i even dragged them both to a new project and put one of them in phase reverse, and if im not wrong - if they were the exact same wav - they should of canceled each other out. but it didn’t. the channels have not plugins on them and the master out is clean also. could you please try and make sense for me on this issue?

Hi,

Why you don’t export multiple channels (the tracks) at once based on the Left and Right Locators?

The Wav files might be a bit different with every single bounce, if you are using some plug-ins with randomise in it. But it should not be audible.

hi Martin,
i choose the bounce option cuz its easier to get 100± channels ready for mix. i send them clean with no plugins or panning so the bounce is supposed to be the cleanest way to go. but no matter what i try - the bounced audio is slightly changed. its not supposed to change at all, there are no changes made and no converting of audio what so ever. so this is really a mystery to me.

Hi,

What kind of change do you hear?

to your question - i do a null test. i bring exports of before and after the bounce to cubase and flip the phase on one of them. its supposed to be silent but you hear changes in some parts.
BUT i did notice something that might explain that. some of the wavs in the project were recorded somewhere else and just now i notices that they are in 44/100 -32 bit and not not in my projects regular 44.100\24 bit. this might explain this. but not sure now if to use the bounced wavs or to export only the different wavs in 441000\24 bit
