There is a feature that I seem to be inadvertently turning on while scrolling (left & right) through my score that seems to bring up some kind of box selector thing that wants to highlight the entire world. Not sure what the feature is called.
I’m obviously doing something that I do not want to do, which not to highlight everything and bring up that box selector thing. How does one do one or all of the following:
-
not bring up such a feature or,
-
completely turn it off, or
-
perhaps someone can explain the benefit of such a feature.
Thank you so much!
Not sure what you’re referring so. System Track? Alt-T to hide it?
I think you’re taking about the selection tool. It comes up when you hold down the left button for a couple of seconds in one spot. (If you click on an empty area of your score, hold for a couple of seconds, you’ll see it appear around your cursor) If you want to scroll around your score, click and drag quicker (ie, don’t hold the clicked mouse in one place)
TBH, on my PC, this functionality is a little flaky, sometimes it brings up the selection box even when I don’t hold the button…
There’s is a way to swap which way round these two features go, long vlivk for drag and short for selection but I’m away from the computer right now and can’t remember off hand where that setting is…
