BPM in play mode is different from notated

Hi,

Why does the BPM in play mode shows up as if the beat unit is a crotchet, even though my piece is in 6/8 and my chosen beat unit is a dotted crotchet?

the tempo I wrote is dotted crotchet = 40, which corresponds to crotchet = 60, but I’d confusing to draw tempo lines that have a different value than the one I am using.

Changing the beat unit at the bottom left doesn’t affect it at all.

At the moment, the tempo editor in the Key Editor only displays the tempo using quarter notes (crotchets) as the unit. It would be nice to be able to use a different unit, but I’m afraid that’s not possible at the moment.
