Bpm/Key of soundfile

Hi:)

Its so easy…

I put a soundfile in vdj or traktor and it tells me the bpm and key of the file…

Ideally, when mediabay scans, if there is no information, it should analyse and fill in the info… Right?

I think If any ol dj software can do it, a full fledged daw should be able to do it too…

Just my two cents…:stuck_out_tongue:

open the audio file in sample editor, check top right for BPM

a good quality sample cd of loops (cymatic, maschine) will usually have the BPM shown on media bay. if its stuff like vengeance then it won’t.

if ur importing an actual song then best google the BPM+align start transient

this is why i like to make my own loops from scratch and key/BPM them accordingly, u get full control and u know where everything is

Lol…

Like i said, any dj software can do it with ease… Find bpm and key of soundfile…

I dont wanna jump through hoops or attend a clickfest for simple procedures…

When i want to boil water, i put water in a watercooker and press a button… I dont gather twigs n sticks in the forest nearby, make a bowl out of pottery, rub sticks to make a fire and boil the water i gathered from the river…
