Brace removes primary bracket

In certain cases I need a brace outside a primary bracket, but when I try that the primary bracket goes away.

I realize there is an option for having secondary brackets drawn as a brace, but I don’t want that either since I need most of my regular secondary brackets drawn as usual.

Any solution to this?

With some effort, it is possible to use both a sub-bracket and a brace as secondary brackets:

At the beginning of the first system, the primary bracket was extended to include the piano staves. Then a coordination line was added between the piano staves and its Line style property was set to Brace (left). After adjusting the height of this coordination line in engrave mode, it was moved to the left of the primary bracket. This line can be copied in write mode and pasted at the beginning of subsequent systems, adjusting its horizontal position as needed.
