Bracketing issue

I am editing 17th-century pieces with basso continuo. I wish to bracket together all of the parts (generally variable from piece to piece) except for the bc, which I want to bracket separately. There has to be a way to do this, but I can’t figure it out.

You can always do a bracket change in Engrave mode, left panel. Or you can drag the top or bottom of the bracket down/up.

Great! Now how do I get a separate bracket for just the basso continuo part?

Select a note or rest in the basso and click the bracket in the left panel.

You can also check if there’s a suitable option under Library->Layout Options->Brackets and Braces.
