Britten tremolando

I’d like to use this notation for a six-note tremolo:

  • in order to save space that would otherwise be filled with a succession of written-out demisemiquaver groups:

I’ve been trying various ideas to achieve this, but have so far failed, and would appreciate any advice.

How would you like it to appear? Like one of these two bars?

To get the 1st one:

Start a 6:4q tuplet

Enter the notes, select them, Shift+R, type 32

Like this? 12:48z tuplet with a white notehead set.. And 3:16y

Thanks very much both! I have to admit I’d tried the shift-R method, but tried 36 instead of the usual two-note 32 because I’d imagined that the second digit referred to the number of notes within the tremolo! Duh… Anyway, I’m happy now!

Here’s the last one.

I admit it’s confusing. “2” stands actually for “more than one”

And: it has to be a tuplet to be more than 2!
