Any reason you haven’t updated to Dorico 6.2.20? I have a vague memory of something related being fixed.

Specific background colors to paragraph styles do work as expected in v 6.2.2.
Yes, I’m in the middle of a large project, and it might affect the remaining scores relative to the ones already made. Hopefully, 7.0 will be out soon-ish, and I can run 6 and 7 simultaneously.
Are you using Color, or Mono…?
You may need to use Color to get the White background.
I don’t see any relevant fixes listed in 6.2.20 Version History.
6.2.10 has a fix to Paragraph Styles that contain both border and backgrounds, but it doesn’t mention printing.
“Point” updates don’t normally cause any problems, except very rarely if there’s a regression. You can always keep a copy of the earlier version, or restore from a backup if necesssary.
Yes, you are correct! Turning on Color instead of Mono fixed it.
I see the logic in that the “colour white” is not used in Mono mode.
Perhaps there should be a “Paper” alternative in Dorico as there are in Illustrator for this case, working both in Mono and Color.
