In the attached file, having the signposts displayed, select the first note on the ossia bar on the oboe and then select to end of flow. Press CMD+M to copy down from the ossia to the main oboe staff - CRASH.
I thought this might have something to do with the “-1 staff” signpost being selected by the “select to end of flow” command and there being some weird shenanigans with copying/pasting such a signpost, but then when deleting other instruments to minimise the file and send you just the relevant bit, suddenly the bug was no more - so probably it’s a bit more complicated…
