2. Description of the Issue
An intermittent application crash (forced termination) occurs consistently when navigating or switching between layouts using the Workspace feature. The crash is directly triggered when switching to a workspace where the Score Editor window is actively open or embedded.
This issue is verified as a cross-platform bug, as the exact same behavior and crash patterns reproduce on both Apple Silicon (M5 Max) and Windows 11 environments.
3. Steps to Reproduce
- Create or open a project in Cubase 15.0.30.
- Configure at least two different Workspaces (e.g., Workspace 1: Project Window, Workspace 2: Score Editor Window open).
- Switch back and forth between these Workspaces using key commands or the top menu.
- When switching to the Workspace containing the active Score Editor, Cubase intermittently freezes and crashes instantly to the desktop.
4. Expected Result
The Workspace should switch smoothly and refresh the layout instantly without stability issues.
5. Actual Result
The application immediately crashes to the desktop without error prompts when rendering the Score Editor layout via the Workspace switch.
Note: I will attach the generated .ips (macOS) and .dmp (Windows) crash logs to this report for your technical team to analyze. Please look into thread safety or graphic rendering issues involving the Score Editor in the latest build.
