Hi everyone, I’d like to report what might be a bug with grace notes. I’m attaching the video and the project. Does anyone have an idea what might be happening? Thanks

Are you trying to add grace notes after the barline for some players, while placing them before the barline at the same spot for the timpani? If so, this is currently not possible in Dorico. @Christian_R recently suggested a workaround in another topic:
Thank you very much for the suggestion. Yes, that’s exactly what I was looking for, but it doesn’t work on timpani and bass drum. Thank you so much for taking the time to help.
Ciao @cosimodaniele, after seeing your video, I am not sure what your final result should look like. Can you sketch a manuscript and upload a screenshot with the desired final result?
Hi @Christian_R, I’m attaching a photo.
A bit of work, but instead of a grace note, a scaled note in voice 2. You have to make the gliss to the G in the 4/8 bar and edit it in Engrave mode.

Grace.dorico (536.3 KB)
Alternatively, a hidden 5:3e tuplet with the last note scaled to Grace note size, stem hidden. You can enter the gliss in the usual way. You could also move the G closer to the barline in Note spacing mode in Engrave.
Grace2.dorico (447.3 KB)
Better.

Hi @cosimodaniele, and thank you for the sketch.
Besides the useful and ingenuous suggestions above (by @jesele and @Zalde) , here how you could do this using the method offered in this mentioned post (using only grace notes):
Workflow:
Dorico file example:
grace note before and after barline.dorico (1.4 MB)
Thank you very much for these three helpful solutions.
