just installed the update to Cubase 15.0.20.
I´m using a custom color configuration and the midi editor is now showing wrong colors, for both background and grid,
the audio editor is fine though
anyone else notices this issue?
tried to update the color configuration in the preferences again, but it didnt have an effect on the midi editor colors

Be aware, there was a bug - the correct colour of the Cycle wasn’t shown in the Key Editor in the past. This has been fixed in Cubase 15.0.20. Do you have the Cycle range over the area, you are looking at?

Martin, i don’t get it. not one person complained about how the midi editor displayed in ALL previous versions of cubase, 8, 9 , 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 ,15….etc
now with this 15.0.20 update, all of sudden people are disliking this change….please tell me how this is a “fix”??? respectfully of course.
I too am very curious to know what problem this is a “fix” for, it wasn’t broken! (It is now though)
can confirm this bug. I just upgraded from Cubase 14 and the background track in the editors show wrong colors, even when not under the cycle range.

It was broken and the issue was also reported here on the forum by users.
If you set the Cycle range, in the Project window, you can see the color change over all the tracks (in the arranger area). In the Key Editor, you could see the Cycle Range only in the Ruler, not over all the MIDI Notes. So it was inconsistent. And, this has been fixed for Cubase 15.0.20.
The bug was like: The Cycle Region settings in the Preferences > User Interface > General Colors is not applied in the Key Editor.
had the same thing happen to me. I used customs colors for years and all the sudden they just changed even though my profile is loaded
I apologize, but I truly do not know what you are describing. You said “in the project window, you can see the color change over all the tracks.” But when I look at my project window, the colors of my tracks are the same whether they are in the ruler range or not:
I do not see any difference in color in the project window either under the cycle ruler or outside of it, in any of the colored or default-gray tracks. I am confused.
But the background to the midi part in the key editor has been lightened (under the cycle ruler) to the point of almost not being visible.
Respectfully, how are these the same in any way? Is there a way you can show a picture of what the bug previously looked like, does it differ from my images?
