BUG in Cubase Elements on MAC - to big window, can't close it

Guys, I’m fresh into this. I opened by accident “track control settings” and couldn’t close it because DOCK interfered with it. Only by minimalising DOCK in MAC settings I was able to close this menu.

Really?..

Yes. The MacOS dock takes up space, and is designed to be optionally hidden when not needed, such is in your case. I suppose you have a very small screen, or are using magnification?

It’s Cubase Elements, by the way, not Essential. I corrected the title.

Thank you Steve for your answer. Well, I am using Mac M1 Air 13. My friend instructed me that to exit that window I could have use ESC… :joy: I was to intrigued to check this out… in my opinion such issue should not exist in the first place.

It’s not an issue. It’s a matter of understanding how it works. As I said previously, you are using using higher than 100% display scaling in Cubase, probably.

You can adjust the Cubase display scaling Preferences, and you shold run your Macbook in its native display scaling.

Here’s how it looks at 1920x1200 for example. Your mac has a 2560-by-1600 display, which packs even more onto the screen.

Thank you Steve I understand your point. When I hide DOCK it’s is all good. I can also hit higher than native resolution - that’s true and you are right (native is 1440x900)

However, I think that the user should have an option to deal with this window somehow using only mouse or cursor and there is no way to adjust that windows size manually - I got used to Mac so I’ve tried command + H, command +M, even emergency shut down to Command + Q and nothing worked. ESC worked however… thanks for your advices and help!
