Hi, I would like to report an issue with the Download Assistant (I know that the Cubase category is wrong, but could not find more appropriate).
I am installing Steinberg software on a new laptop.
All the libraries are already installed on an external SSD, so I do not need to reinstall them.
However, there are some issues in the Download Assistant (further named DA) with the installation of the instruments:
- First, although I have registered the libraries in the Library Manager (with a not-intuitive-at-all double click on the libraries in different folders), the DA does not see it and when clicking “Install again”, starts to download them, which is strange.
- The DA does not see that the installers are already there for Cubase/Halion, etc. and starts to download them again (see the attached screenshot).
- Visual issue in DA: it is annoying difficult to see what I should install because all apps, instruments, libraries and sounds are intermixed. Is it possible to split for different items in a given product in subcategories, so that I could see what is a VST instrument to install, and what is a library/sound (that I can check in the library manager, if I already have it)?
Thanks!
MfG
Dmitry
