The Key Editor toolbar offers a “MIDI Input” mode. This allows you to edit the selected notes using your MIDI keyboard.

This happens with every VSTi I’ve tried. This doesn’t affect hardware synths. I’m using the new 64 bit mixing engine.
Changing the ASIO buffer size or turning off ASIO Guard seems to have no effect.
Yes! So annoying, and been around since 9.0 at least. Have you tried it with HSSE? This is one of those things that bother me at moments when I absolutely will not stop to test and report… so I’ve never done it! This is a feature I use lots.
