MIDI CC’s are sent from all MUTED tracks on;
Transport: Stop [Numpad 0]
Transport: StartStop [Spacebar]
Transport: Go to Project Start [Numberpad .] (after Stop or StartStop)
Transport: Go to Left Locator [1] (after Stop or StartStop)
Transport: Go to Right Locator [2] (after Stop or StartStop
This occurs irrespective of the settings of:
Preferences: MIDI: Reset on Stop
Preferences: MIDI: Chase Events: Controller/Expression Maps
Preferences: MIDI: Never Reset Chased Controllers
I am currently using Cubase Pro 14, but this also occurred in Pro 13 and previous Pro versions. This appears to be a similar issue to previously reported in Cubase 9:
This is effectively preventing recording multiple tracks with monotimbral external instruments that share the same MIDI channels.
As a workaround, the tracks with MIDI CCs that I don’t want active, have to be temporarily ‘disabled’ rather than muted, but this is tedious and error prone to do for multiple tracks.
Another bug appears to be that disabling the Preferences: MIDI: Never Reset Chased Controllers, doesn’t prevent the chased controllers being reset.
