Bug: MIDI ports in MIDI REMOTE recognizing isue - absent vs. present

is this a bug or is it me?
I have various MIDI PORTS I use. They are all VISIBLE.
Sometimes not all are reconzied, it seems. I can’t select and attach them to a new MIDI REMOTE DEVICE.

f.e.

I see only a view and this list is not scrollable:

a couple of device removals and addings, I suddenly see them again…what the heck is going on here?

I don’t know if this is the case here, but when we have a MIDI Remote active which means it occupies at least one MIDI In port, this particular port is no longer visible in the combo box when we want to add a new/existing remote.

according to the first screenshot, only BOME MIDI TRANSLATOR 2 is in use by a Midi Remote Ctrl.

Can you please explain in more details what you mean by this?

on my first screenshot you see that my BOME MIDI TRANSLATOR 2 midi device (in the middle under “Anschluss”) is connected to the “MIDI Remote-Connector Hexler - TouchOSC” (on the right side of the table under “Nutzung”).
The other ones are NOT blocked and should be visible.

I totally understood this. The thing is that you mention something about removing devices. Perhaps this could give a clue to how it can be handled by Steinberg if it can be replicated and thus reported.
