BUG? Mixconsole visibility sync doesn't work with channels in left zone

Hi,

Not sure if it’s a me problem, but track visibility doesn’t seem to sync channels placed in the left zone between the main MixConsole and lower zone MixConsole even when sync is selected.

If I move the tracks from the left zone into the centre, then I can change visibility just fine and it syncs between both consoles as expected. Moving back to the left retains the visibility as set.

For example, I have 10 input channels on my setup but only want to display the first three in the MixConsole left zone. The main MixConsole shows all 10 already placed in the left zone. I head to the Channel tab then deselect channels 4 through 10. This changes the visibility in the main MixConsole window but the lower zone MixConsole remains unchanged, still showing all channels when it should only be showing three.

So, to workaround this I head to the Zones tab, move all the channels to the centre zone, then change the visibility again to hide 4 through 10 and the changes are reflected as expected. I can then move the channels 1 to 3 back to the left zone.

Can anyone else replicate this behaviour? MacOS Tahoe latest update (26.6.1). Cubase Pro 15.0.30.

@wjoyce not a you problem at all, just the way they implemented the feature.

@Alfo I guess your reply is more or less correct, but it’s curious that you speak conditionally –

A weird Steinberg-ism I guess :person_shrugging: I can’t think of any logical reason why sync ignores the left and right zones if you’ve specifically requested it to sync. It’s complicated by the fact that you can’t control input channel visibility in the lower zone MixConsole.

Oh well, I have a workaround at least - marking as solved.
