Unfortunately, it is not working. When I use my custom set key command “,” only the range selection is nudging left, but not the selected audio clip:
However, If I use the default key command “Command+Left” the range selection and the clip are moving left:
I tried different custom keys, but none of them are working. Seems like Nuendo does not like a custom key command for that action. Guess it’s a bug. Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks for checking this out. It’s interesting that any new key command must include the default one to actually make it work. However, that is not an option for me, as I want a simple one button key command to make things simpler and not even more complicated. Hope this gets fixed!
It’s able to differentiate between different keyboards (or other input devices such as mouses and numpads) and you can remap them.
So what you would do is have a dedicated device for your shortcuts and remap any key to output a different set of keystrokes, and record that into Nuendo’s Key Commands.
It is very stable, runs in the background with minimal resources and you can pretty much forget it exists after setting it up. And you can also set different mappings for different applications!
I appreciate your help, but this is a bug after all and should be fixed by Steinberg. So I’m not looking for a way around this just yet, but hope this gets fixed soon. But it’s good to know, that there are potential tools available to deal with it. Thank you for pointing that out.
