Bug: Realtime mixdown when NOT using External instruments

I’m using Cubase 10.5 on Windows 10. I have template projects that have external instruments pre-configured, loaded in the VST instruments rack and turned OFF.

Everytime I finish a song and attempt to export the song, Cubase will give me the “realtime mixdown” required notification (see screenshot) because it believes I’m using one or more external instruments.

Everytime I have to go to VST instruments and turn the all my 6 external instruments ON and then OFF again, and the problem is solved. It seems like the “on/off” state of the external instrument is not being validated at startup.

Having to do that regularly and everytime I’m ready to export a song that uses NO external instruments is really frustrating.
