Bug: remote key signatures in concert pitch / Shift+K popover

It is likely common knowledge that certain non-standard key signatures can be accessed with the popover by writing the relative minor in the syntax (with lower case letters). The issue is that at least on the “flat side”, the key signatures “past” D flat minor (F flat major) are not correct, but get stuck at 8 flats / double flat+6 flats, even though transposed instruments get correct key signatures:

In the above image, the major scales have been written to alto clarinet in transposed view, and then copy+pasted to the flute staff. The individual “missing” accidentals are applied correctly when pasting.

I am aware of all sorts of possibilities the custom Tonality System dialog offers for all kinds of custom, remote, uncommon, modal etc. key signatures. The issue here is mainly that currently it’s possible to type e.g. “gb” in the popover in a project with default settings and receive a wrong key signature. Since vast majority of users likely never need to use these, a quick-ish fix that would cause more good than harm might be simply removing the certain popover syntax possibilities, and direct any questions about more remote key configurations towards the Tonality System dialog.

Please see this recent thread:

In short, in future versions, the popover will prevent you from creating key signatures that have more than 8 sharps or flats.

Great, thank you. I tried to search for previous threads, but I think I used only a search string of “gb minor”, not “g flat minor” which would have shown that thread. AI auto-detect of similar topics (when creating a new thread) didn’t show that one either. This can be deleted or the topics merged.
