I’m on a MacBook Pro 13", with scaled resolution set to 1147x745. I’ve just upgraded to Dorico 6. If I double click the top bar, it resizes to occupy the full screen size as expected. Then when I go into note entry mode, the window resizes to larger than full screen size. I can resize it back to full screen size, but it will keep resizing to larger than full size if I perform certain actions. Slightly annoying. This looks like a new issue, as Dorico 5 does not do the same thing. Thank you for all that you do!
Welcome to the forum, @CJ2 !
It’s possible that this is related to a bug that has already been discussed, in which the bottom status bar tries to be larger than the screen size in order to display all of the pieces of information it needs to. Try right-clicking on the status bar and deselecting one or two of the available bits of information.
This also occurs under Windows 10. For me it is the right panel that overflows the limits of the monitor, and the window can re-size on changing modes (e.g.. Write to Engrave), so that it needs to be fixed several times in a session.
As mentioned above if you remove some things from the status bar at the bottom of the Dorico window it should stop this from happening. It is when the status bar at the bottom gets too wide that it pushes the window open beyond the limits of the screen.
I wonder if this was fixed in 6.01
No need to wonder! From the Version History:
Thank you, that solved it for me, too! I found it really annoying to start Dorico and the fisrt thing I had to do was resize the window manually.
