I’ve been noticing a bug that’s been around since Nuendo 12 and still hasn’t been fixed in the latest versions.
It doesn’t happen all the time, but occasionally, when I’m working on a busy timeline and have lanes expanded on an audio track (often with quite a few events layered), I run into a weird issue. It only happens when I have lanes expanded on an audio track (never when lanes are collapsed). When I try to apply a process—specifically Time Stretch—to an event on one of the lanes, the process sometimes gets applied multiple times automatically.
I select the audio event, hit Time Stretch, and when I open the Offline Processing window, I see that the process has been applied multiple times on the left panel, stacked as if I applied it several times—though I only clicked once.
The only way to fix it is to right-click, “Cancel All Processes,” and then re-apply the Time Stretch. Most of the time, it works properly on the second try without any duplicate processing.
This is a small but annoying glitch, especially when working fast and live with clients. Would love to know if anyone else has experienced this, and if Steinberg is aware of it?
Thanks!
Teddy
