@dspreadbury I don’t know if this is a known issue or no one has ever used small page margins up till now but if the page margin is not large enough the frame fullness indicators are cut off and not readable:
In the above example you could guess it’s 101.6 % because of the colour. But in the following one it takes forensic skills to determine the preceding number (5? or 6?):
Therefore I suggest that the display of the frame fullness indicators should not be limited to the page area. Another solution could be adapting the size of the number so that it fits inside the box.
However since a good user story should leave the solution to the developers I only request that I can read the frame fullness indicators in any case.
When anything is visible inside the edge of the page that is not something that will be printed or exported, it would be great if it was displayed outside of the page area. I would include any tool tips while the cursor hovers near the edge of the page.
Further, the selectors for frames
should be more readable and that could be accomplished by placing them outside the page area with better contrasting colors - white for the font in these selectors is almost not readable for old eyes and for those who might be using lower resolution screens/screen settings.
Make it easier to visualize these and other things - always think age-specific and ability/disability-specific in order to be a fully accessible software product. For example, did you know the those over 40 can better read serif fonts below 10 pt than sans serif fonts. The serif feature helps to distinguish betwen I and 1 and t.
Just some additional thoughts to share along the line of the OP.
