Bug: rests are not properly appearing when writing slashes

I am writing for rhythm section and I would like to have a written rhythmic accent with the whole section on the 4-and. The part before can be played with slashes. When I remove the slashes from that 4-and beat, the eighth note rest that should be ON the 4th beat is not appearing (not in pno nor in bass, drums, gtr). I have tried lots of different things, but it just doesn’t work. It appears just completely wrong: 3 slashes - no rest - 1 eighth note on the 4-and.

Anyone that could solve this problem?

Like this?

Use a Slash Region for the first 3 beats, then use a Slash Voice for the & of 4. If it’s tied over, resume the Slash Region on beat 2 of the next bar, otherwise just put the hit on the & of 4 and switch back to using Slash Regions.

This didn’t work unfortunately, but someone helped me out by saying I should lock the duration (O) first when inserting rests ‘behind’ the slash region and then I inserted a quarter rest and an eighth rest, after which it appeared.

Sorry, I’m not really following this. There is really only rarely ever a need to enter rests in Dorico, and you certainly don’t need to use Force Duration on them here. I’m glad you figured a workaround to get the result you want, but here’s a gif showing how to do this without entering rests or using Force Duration:
