Bug: Snapshot selection state doesn't update when snapshot is recalled via key command

I’d appreciate it if others could try reproducing this with the very simple steps below, especially any Steinberg moderators who might be able to confirm whether this is a known issue — thanks in advance.

Summary:
Physically clicking a snapshot in the Snapshots list to select and recall it works exactly as expected — the snapshot’s settings are applied, and the dropdown menu immediately updates to show the correct “Update Snapshot X / Delete Snapshot X” labels for that snapshot. However, when a snapshot is instead recalled via a key command, the settings are correctly applied, but the dropdown menu fails to update to reflect the newly active snapshot — it continues to show Update/Delete options for whichever snapshot was last selected via mouse click.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create at least 2 MixConsole Snapshots (e.g. Snapshot 1, Snapshot 2).
  2. Assign key commands to “Recall Snapshot 1” and “Recall Snapshot 2.”
  3. Click Snapshot 2 in the Snapshots list with the mouse. Confirm the dropdown correctly shows “Update Snapshot 2 / Delete Snapshot 2.”
  4. Trigger the key command for “Recall Snapshot 1” (not a mouse click).

Expected result:
Snapshot 1 is recalled, and the dropdown updates to “Update Snapshot 1 / Delete Snapshot 1”.

Actual result:
Snapshot 1’s settings are correctly applied to the mixer, but the dropdown still shows “Update Snapshot 2 / Delete Snapshot 2.” The dropdown’s selection state only tracks mouse-click recalls, not key-command-triggered recalls. This happens consistently in both directions (moving from SS1 → SS2 or from SS2 → SS1).

Why this matters:
If you then click “Update” while in this state, you’ll overwrite the wrong snapshot — the one the dropdown thinks is selected, not the one whose settings are actually loaded. This is a real problem for anyone recalling snapshots via key command rather than clicking directly in the Snapshots tab.

Suggested improvement:
Related to this bug — it would help to have a persistent visual indicator of which snapshot is currently active. A small number badge next to the Snapshot icon in the sidebar/toolbar showing the currently selected snapshot without having to opening the dropdown. Attempting to select Snapshots via key command gets trickier when you don’t know what snapshot is currently selected.

It would also be nice to have Update Snapshot and Delete Snapshot as assignable key commands. I’m able to achieve this via Keyboard Maestro at the moment but obviously it would be much easier and more stable if these commands existed natively.

Environment:

  • Cubase 15.0.30
  • macOS 26.6
