When I solo two channels, in this example, the drums and bass, the second channel I solo doesn’t work.

… the channel “Drums (R)” is routed to a target channel called “Drums”. "Drums (R) is working when you solo it. Then there is “Bass (R)” and this one is routed to “Bass”. And what is “Bass”? What happens with “Bass”? Is it mute’d?

Yes, the subgroup isn’t bring soloed until the part changes then it seems to happen.
