I cannot communicate directly with Steinberg due to their licence agreement. Yamaha Australia (Australian rep) in their most recent email to me on 22/11/2021 advise:
“Unfortunately my colleague at Steinberg could not give me information about whether this will be available in the next Cubase 11 update or in Cubase 12 (due for release next year)”
The solution to the problem is to use an alternative product. I can confirm that Presonus Studio One implements all of these features perfectly (and at all sample rates). So far the experience has been excellent.
