This bug with typing values still hasn’t been fixed. @Martin.Jirsak
Thank you very much for the most recent update.
This bug is still not fixed in 14.0.20.
Is this being worked on?
It seems this is rectified with Cubase 14.0.20
Works on my side. But you need to press the Q-Link button to activate it.
Moving faders yes, but typing a value doesn’t work.
Can you confirm?
Hi Johnny! Thanks for taking the time! Are you on Windows?
On my Mac (M2 Ultra, Sonoma 14.7.3), this still isn’t working as expected. In the video I’m uploading, you can see that I can move all the faders using Q-Link, but when I type a value, nothing happens.
After entering the value, I have two “Enter” keys I can press—one on the bottom right corner of the numeric keypad and the other above the “Shift” key. If I press the first, nothing happens; if I press the latter, the value gets deleted.
Can anyone on Mac confirm this?
Are you holding down the Option key as well? On your GIF Q-Link gets deactivated just before you press Enter.
Two Enter keys: The one on the NumPad is called “Enter”, the other one “Return” in the Cubase key commands. Two different keys.
Thanks, Johnny!
Yes, I’m holding down the Q-Link, but nothing happens when I press Enter or Return. As you saw in the video, I have to release the modifier for it to at least change the channel I’m typing on.
You’re on Windows, right?
Engage Q-Link not by holding down the keys but by clicking the button on screen.
It’s a compromise.
Hi,
By default, the Q-Link modifier is Alt+Shift. I can confirm, in Cubase 13 this confirms the value and the Q-Link is applied. In Cubase 14, new line is inserted while holding Alt+Shift, instead of confirming the value.
Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
