Bug when saving new settings

When I change any layout or formatting settings, etc., it only applies to the active file. When I start another project, I have to do everything again. This also applies to new page templates. Can anyone help me with this?

I use Dorico 6.2.10.6140

To re-use the layouts and templates you should file>save as project template. Then when you create a new document you use that template as the starting point.

And if you would re-use your changes in older projects, you could export te page template sets (and import where wanted)

(But it’s definitely not a bug)

Are you saying it not only applies to page templates, but to things like Layout/Notation/Engraving Options…?

Yes. When I change a chord notation setting, for example “always omit (add11, add13)” and click save as default, when I open a new project the setting is not saved.

Don’t know when exactly the defaults are saved. But to check: did you save your project with the changed defaults first, before you opened a new one?

The setting will only be applicable when you create a new project from File/New. It doesn’t apply to existing projects or templates. If you need to bring your new chord symbol defaults into an existing project, use the Library Manager.
