Bundled cubase 13 artist upgrade

Hey! First time poster, long time reader here.

I purchased a Steinberg guitar recording kit, which comes with cubase artist 13( haven’t activated it yet). I already have an artist, although a previous iteration, but is there a way to upgrade the bundled artist 13 to pro version?

I am aware of the normal upgrade deals, but the kit was 400€ and upgrade from artist to pro is 259€.
The upgrade from my previous artist to 13 pro would cost only 329€ so would I have been better to just buy that?

I read that someone had the bundled artist upgraded straight to pro free of charge because he had 13 elements. I’m a little sceptical of that though…

Hi and welcome to the forum,

If you have an olde Cubase Artist version, you can activate your current Cubase Artist 13 (then you will get 2 Cubase Artist licenses; your original Cubse Artist and new Cubase Artist 13). Then you can update your Cubase Artist 13 to Cubase Pro 13 for the given price.

And then, you can try to sell your original Cubase Artist license.

I haven’t heard about some special free updates, if you have 2 licenses.
