WaveLab 8.5 automatically deletes the Originator Reference/USID field value whenever BWF metadata is updated. Is there a setting that can prevent this from happening, or is this a bug in the program?
How do you update BWF?
When I have an audio file open, I open the Meta-data dialogue (Edit->Meta-data or Shift+A). The USID that is generated by my recorder is there. I might make a change in another field and hit OK. When I open the Meta-data dialogue again, the USID is gone.
For experimentation’s sake, I generated a new one from Wavelab. When I hit OK in the Metadata dialogue box, and then re-open it, the USID once again is lost.
Indeed, there is a problem that needs to be corrected.
