Hello.
I can no longer install Halion Sonic2 or Padshop update because of the message
“Wrong Mac OS X Version
You need at least Mac OS X 10.5.0 to install this software”
I run El Capitan.
Any ideas? With or without messing with the Terminal?

Might help… I see you halion tool has some kind of special installer (Steinberg Application Installer Tool)
