I tend to get o overwhelmed at times due to my age (70) and some cognitive decline with the ins and outs of Cubase and VSTi. I’ve also had difficulty finding, using and mixing instruments for the mid-low and low end.
So I got written permission from a musician to sample his drones. For now I’ve just created some pitch shifted segments to drag and drop into my tracks.
But I’d like to use such source material to be able to play/record such drones as I do with most VSTi instruments.
From what I know, Padshop/Padshop2 offers this, but it’s daunting. Or maybe there is a NI Kontakt Komplet Standard (I have v.13) that I could use to pull this off?
Whatever the case, below is one example of the kind of drone I want to instrumentalize, so to speak. His tracks are an hour long and only one chord, but IMO pretty stunning.
A simple step by step written and/or referred video to do this would be appreciated.
