I have a boxed version of Cubase Pro 11 crossgrade with dongle that I already upgraded to latest Pro 13 licence.
What can I do with this C11 Pro crossgrade licence? Can I sell this or gift it to somebody?
Legally no. You really only have one license (the reason you’re left with a different physical license in this case is because of the change in licensing system)
I was under impression this is separate Cubase licence. But it seems to be a logistical nightmare anyway since I would have to somehow remove other licences from the dongle before attempting C11 licence transfer.
Even if possible probably not worth the effort.
You cannot transfer it, of course. The system obviously sees you used it to buy an update. It’s all in the purchase terms doc.
I meant dongle transfer with only C11 licence on it.
So I can throw away this C11 box and the dongle? Are you guys sure about this?
Your C11 license was marked as upgraded (when you used it to upgrade from 11 to 13). You can see this for yourself, insert your key and see it (open elicenser and check it out).
But this C11 license is still useful. You can’t open C11 and lower with a C13 license, so this elicenser can be used for that. C13 license will only open C12 and C13.
