C12 - Project wont open

I have this issue with Cubase 12. Projects wont open after closing out. When I try to open a project, it redirects me to the project folder and the session file disappears. I tried opening the bak file and same deal.

When I open the project file directly, it says “activate license” in Cubase 9.5

I still have C9.5 so I tried opening it from there, same deal, it asks for project folder.

what is happening?

Hi,

Are you sure you are opening a *.cpr file not inputting a *.mid file?

Where are the projects stored? Any specific folder like a Desktop by any chance?
