I use CMD+M for “Edition>Mute/Unmute objects” since Cubase 10.
But in Cubase 14 this shortcut doesn’t work. I can save the shortcut CMD+M in the shortcuts manager, but the shortcut doesn’t mute events/objects in the project.
I am using Cubase 14.0.20 in macos 14.7…4
Hi,
By default:
- Cmd+M: Markers window
- Shift+M: Mute Events
- Shift+U: Unmute Events
It has never been possible to use one Key Command to Mute and Unmute.
Can you try assigning another key command temporarily? Does it work with the new key command?
On my Windows install it works fine but I customised the assignment to M
I found the problem.
It’s a macOS issue. I have a CMD+M shortcut saved in macOS System Settings/Keyboard/Services/Text that should work only when a text is selected, but it’s interfering with shortcuts in Cubase.
I will send a message to apple for this bug.
Anyway it’s weird that I can save cmd+M in the Cubase shortcuts manager, and later the shortcut is not working…
