C14 Render in Place / Exclude Stereo Out

Hello,

question related to the render in place function and setting:

I want to exclude my stereo out because I have permanently room correction VST (Sonarworks) on it and limiter.

I have selected the “channel settings” in the render in place setting dialog.

How can I exclude the stereo out when rendering in place , whilst keeping the track inserts active?

Those settings do exclude stereo out and include track inserts?

Have you considered using control room for monitor FX, works perfectly for this and you never have to think about whether they are included in renders or not (CR is monitoring path only)

Those setting do not excluse stereo out that‘s why I raised the question, but you are right, the CR can be a solution.
I stopped using it because of issues with the click and difficult routing of the soundcard (Motu 16A) combined with an analog summer. The click issue seems to be solved in C14 and I reactivated CR. Let s see. Thank you!

You’ll have to explain how you’re seeing this as the only setting that should include stereo output inserts is obviously the Complete Signal Path + Master FX option

Well, I tested this by inserting an effect on the stereo out and it printed including this effect

Definitely not doing this on my system. Obviously you need to bypass the master FX to not hear them on playback of the rendered file.
C14 on W11.

The Rendering setting is set to “channel settings”. It is my understanding that this should exclude the stereo out but it doesn‘t.

Yes channel settings does exclude the master bus and works as expected here.

So you’re definitely bypasssing or removing the FX on master and or in the control room after running the RIP but still hear them on playback?

If yes then maybe you should include your o/s and Cubase version as it would be a bug that needs fixing and someone with same setup can confirm it.
