It’s all in the title… the dark menu bar is GREAT!! I really appreciate the new features (the ability to change the volume of audio tracks is wonderful, the ability to create variations on MIDI velocity is equally wonderful), but with the dark menu bar my eyes get tired much much less.
It’s awesome that they finally listened and implemented this. I have also been suffering from eye strain, when using the old, white menus.
Imo, they could also fix the menus when right clicking on parameters in some of their older VSTs (PS, RL), as well. And revamp the Preferences and the Pool windows, too, now that we’re are at it. This would also make it much more pleasing for the eyes and make it look more consistent.
Unfortunately for me as a Cubase 13 user, I will not benefit from this, when my Cubase 14 trial expires. I wasn’t lucky with the grace period, and since I’m still familiarizing myself with Cubase 13, I don’t feel like spending a full update price is justified just to get the menus fixed.
And speaking of Cubase 14 trial. Is a trial equivalent of a full version that can be used without limitations?
And are there any disadvantages in using a Cubase 14 trial and then resuming my work in Cubase 13, using the same project file, when the trial expires?
Logically, I would assume, that it would be okay, as long as I don’t use any of the new features? But I still kind of worry, that it could create some conflicts.
I understand your points.
When you create a project with one version and reopen it with a previous one you obviously lose those plugins and functions that only work with the most recent version… the few times I’ve happened to do it I’ve had no problems
