With C15, I am struggling to retrieve the dark background tint that I was using until C14, which was this one (RGB 37/40/43) :
With the new colors adjustment tools in the Preferences window , the nearest I can get is that one (RGB 49/52/57) :

I guess that it’s an HSV one. The problem is that there is only two cursors for the background setting adjustment, in the Preferences > User Interface > General Colors panel…
Right, so when you stated three numbers I assumed you were referring to the User Color Scheme, as opposed to the Background Tint. I haven’t messed with the colors yet in 15, but it appears that Background Tint is relative to User Color Scheme (it tints that color).
On an unrelated note, if I may, how is that IRT Studio holding up for you?
I have it since several years, and it’s a reliable unit. I use it almost constantly via the DI output connected to an ADA-8000 preamp. Sometimes I add a condenser mic in front of a Palmer cabinet used with it, but it’s not mandatory, thankfully, as I try to keep good relations with the neighbourhood… 
It’s probably not the best guitar tube amp available, but I’m OK with what I get from it.
Be carefull with the color adjustments, because I made the mistake to tick the background check box (I thought that it was mandatory to activate any change) : the result was a complete different background instantly displayed. I’m unable, since, to retrieve my previous settings, from which this thread.
