C15 Edit hitpoints button does not turn off

Cubase 15. Win 11 both latest builds. PC

Repro:
New project, import some audio into track
Click on the audio to open the Sample Editor
In the Sample Editors Inspector there is a section called Hitpoints, open this.
There is a button to enable manual editing of hitpoints.

Default is off. Click to enable. (works)

Click to disable: does not work.

Can you reproduce?

Yes, that’s right, even in C14. The arrow mark highlight disappears when the Hitpoints section is collapsed and expanded again. This may be a bug.

Ahah, that’s two bugs then? It turns off without asking, and it will not turn off.

This left me floundering whilst learning the Sample Editor. If the but is in a closed section you can not see it, therefore you cannot know what turned off editing. its a definite

The ‘edit hitpoint’-button turns off when you click the ‘remove all’ button.

Well this would be because there are no hitpoints.

Easy to remember: No available Hitpoints, no editable Hitpoints.

Indeed once you know. The converse is not true - (visually) available hitpoints does not equal editable hitpoints. The beginner can simply close the section, assume that they have activated Edit Hitpoints, and it would remain that way. Then, later down the line when it is not working, they may not relalise why and go hunting and pecking.

If there are no hitpoints available, they are generated by clicking Edit Hitpoints.

Of course almost always in a live track, the hitpoints are only roughly assigned and one must use a few tools to get them right before they are fully integratable
