My configuration:
Cubase 15 Pro
Allen Heath Qu-6d 36 input Channel Board direct to computer via USB-C
I have an existing project:
4 Sterio channels configured
9 Mono channels configured
The Qu-asio driver configuration sees all the 36 channels and tells me which ones are active or not.
This tells me that the driver sees the available connections.
When I attempt to add an additional input channel bus to audio input configuration the pop up menu appears and will let me
fill in the fields (Name, type, number) when I confirm to add the channel I get nothing added.
I have bounced the machine (W-11) several times as well as C15, same outcome.
Additionally, if I attempt to add and additional Audio Track with (RT Click menu in the track area) add Track – the Audio track Icon is grayed out.
Note: This is not the main toolbar menue issue of Grayed out Icon on the Main Toolbar menu.
All existing input/output channels work fine. I simply cant add any additional input channels even when they are available on the driver.

Your screenshots indicate that you are using Cubase AI/LE, not Cubase Pro. That would explain the limitation as this edition does not allow as many tracks and input busses as the Pro version.
Kindly check Help → About Cubase to see which edition you are running.
I may be mistaken, but worth looking at the A&H manual. I have a QU-5 and the QU only supports 32 midi channels, and at 48kHz… for 96k I think you get 16. All QU 5-6-7 have the same engine… the only difference really being the number of local inputs and outputs. Any way, worth a thought and a quick check.
